Thank you, Yelpers! Not sure what the naysayers are talking about. We found New Thai Cafe and were not disappointed. Lad Na was amazing! So many vegetables, perfect noodles, and tasty sauce. Ham fried rice was an accidental bonus, as I requested fried rice with the yellow curry my boyfriend ordered. Honest mistake and I should have clarified. Glad I didn't, because it was wonderful. We also ordered the egg rolls (5) which came with an unique sweet and sour sauce (a.k.a. liquid gold). The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated and the lady at the counter(owner?) was super nice (she didn't even know she had so many reviews on Yelp!). She was pleasant and friendly. Official Thai restaurant for us!!!

Located in a strip mall on 7800 South, the New Thai Café serves traditional Thai food and some other options too like pho noodle soup. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, nothing fancy, but clean and well maintained. I ordered the yellow curry which was flavorful and level 4 spicy was perfect for me. Unfortunately the chicken was very rubbery, overcooked, and had a strange flavor. I didn't like it at all. It was really pretty gross. Will not be returning. The chicken was a big disappointment.

I have tried many thai places in the area and this place would have to be my favorite. I wanted to try the yellow curry and pad thai, and both of these are great dishes. The pad thai was great the first time I ate it, but it tasted even better when I microwaved my leftovers. The yellow curry is also my favorite and this is by far the best place with the yellow curry. I don't like things too spicy so I loved the sweetness in this curry. They also have a great guava candy that we like to get whenever we eat there. However they hide it behind the counter so we have to ask them if they have the candy and they let us a grab a handful which is great.

I eat here every week. I usually refuse to eat Pho at a Thai Resturaunt but this place nails it. I got burnt out on rare beef and switched to the chicken and have never gone back. It has great broth and the chicken flavorful and fresh. I will try the Thai food next time and report back GP

Used to frequent this place before I started Yelp'ing back in I think 2011. The curry is still great, prices are still very reasonable. The service isn't all that nice seeing only 1 person run the whole place and do the cashiering. Our waters were never filled, it was hard to get to-go boxes. I think next time I visit I will opt for a to-go order instead.

This is my favorite new Thai restaurant! I've been to the restaurant twice now and tried 8 of their menu items and am absolutely delighted with each one. The flavors are fresh, robust and exquisite! I couldn't stop saying 'mmm' after each delicious bite! This restaurant is a hidden local gem. Bravo New Thai Cafe chefs, bravo!
(4)Monica V.
The service here can do with a little improvement when it comes to refilling drinks, but if you can get over those minor details, this place is really good. I've been craving some authentic Thai curry, and New Thai got my fix taken care of with some pork Gang Dang (red curry). It was the perfect consistency and filled with equal ratios of pork and vegetables. For dessert, I had the Yummy Donuts and the name says it all, because they were definitely yummy.
(4)John L.
Very good thai food. Service was great. Nice local restaurant. Will return again. Be sure to get the donuts.

Finally, good Thai out here on the west side. Located in a strip mall, the front of the store doesn't tell the true story of just how good this is. Hubby and I came here last night for dinner and eat some yummy Thai. We were not disappointed. We started off with the prawn in a blanket appetizer. It's marinated prawns wrapped in a won ton wrapper then fried. It's served with a chili sauce. They were so good!! And cooked perfectly. For an entree, Hubby had the deep fried scallops dish and I had a shrimp and veggie in a sweet chili sauce. Both dishes were amazing, although I liked the shrimp dish better. For dessert it was a mouthwatering sticky rice with mango and coconut milk. I think this was by far the best mango and sticky rice I've ever had. I was partial to one in American Fork, but this one beats it. Service was wonderful. It's a family owned business and it's obvious the customer is important to them. Water was never empty and the staff was courteous and fun too. Our server, Kao, is the best. He's friendly and personable while still being very good at his job. We will be going back again.. absolutely 5 stars!!

A lot can change in two years. While my first trip here was decidedly different from my most recent, I'm happy to report that this is still a really terrific place to eat Thai food. The food is fresh and full of flavor, and they give you generous portions for low prices. This last time I was with a small group, and we ordered family style. It was all hands on the table for an all-out gorge fest. My interested was piqued in the beef waterfall salad, and I have to say that I'm still dreaming about it. So blasted good! I'm not a huge fried rice fan (I mean, I like it--but I always leave it to others to order it) but it was pretty good, too. I love the curries here, and also have had the Lard Na a couple of times. Read my original review for the strip mall magic and a little more basic info, but the long and short of it is this: 1) Great food--really, really good 2) Reasonable prices 3) Big portions 4) End the meal with the donuts.
(5)Chase H.
Decided to try out the pad Thai, it was okay overall. I asked for a spicy level 7 out of ten and it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, if you like it spicy go up a few more levels than you would think. I tried the pho again and wasn't impressed at all i think this was my last visit here.
(2)Eric S.
There isn't enough good things to say about this authentic Friendly Thai restaurant. Dine here and surprise yourself with excellent food and friendly service! Food: 5 Service: 4.5 Friendliness: 5 Atmosphere: cozy
(5)Mylan D.
I really enjoyed eating the beef salad today. There were lots of flavors in each bite and enough to share for 2 people. My friend ordered the shrimp spring rolls and it was mediocre. There wasn't much taste to it unless you dipped it in the peanut sauce which I absolutely loved! I'd have to say it's the best peanut sauce I've had in Utah. My friend ordered the beef pho and there weren't too many pieces in there, unless she ate them all while I was chowing down on the salad. Service was great! She kept our glasses full and didn't kick us out when it was closing. We stayed til 9pm and they closed at 830pm. Oopsies! Great place to come. I'll get the pad Thai or the laarb salad next time around.
(3)Samown L.
The service is fantastic and the food is very good. They are very timely and very attentive to their customers

Out of the local Thai places I've tried so far, this place tops the list! I went here with my parents when they came to visit, and it was a nice experience. The lady at the register told us to seat ourselves and then she came over to give us our menus and bring us water. She was a one woman show and it was awesome. Every time she showed up she had the most genuine smile on. It was infectious! We ordered pad thai, pad see ew, and pad kee mao. We like noodles if you couldn't tell. My favorite was definitely the pad thai. To be honest, it's nothing special but it does the trick when you're craving Thai flavors. The pad see ew was made using chow fun noodles. Usually the pad see ew noodles are a little flatter and wider, so that was a bit of a let down. I'm not familiar with pad kee mao, but it tasted ok when I tried it. My mom said it was a bit too salty. Nonetheless, I had a good experience here and would probably come back. The portions are huge by the way. We each left with about half of our dish untouched. Lunch for the week yay!
(4)Viktoria J.
YES YES YESSSS ! First Thai joint I tried when I moved into the neighborhood. Beyond glad I discovered this place! It's the best spot in WJ ! Seems like the rest of the folks that live here agree ! Started as a small Thai restaurant and they just expanded the space to next door. I loooove their spring rolls and peanut sauce I dream about them ! #17 on the phò menu is a total must! Tom Yum soup with rice noodles! What's not to love ?!? Their service is on point, never kept waiting too long. And their water (yes I'm a water connoisseur / snob) is so tasty! I for sure get my 8 daily glasses in when I'm here. Try this place you can't go wrong ! And after your done go next door and get a Mexican pastry, you'll feel like a NYC hipster

I was in the mood for a something new. Found this high rated yelp place and thought to give it a try with my wife. It was a Saturday evening and the place only had a few people in it. The flavors were mostly there, but the food was not cooked well. I got a lot to try, and this has now changed my thoughts on getting a lot on my first visit to anywhere. Appetizer: ---Chicken wings: Way over cooked - dry, tough, hard to bite into, most of the flavor came from the overcooked breading. Not so good ---Fresh Sping Rolls: It was reasonably good but no seasoning besides the dipping sauce Drinks were decent, but they were out of fountain drinks altogether. So I had to pay per drink. Not worth it. I could get past this issue but the rest of the experience was not so hot Staff was good to me and quick and friendly Entrees: ---#63 with chicken (yellow curry): some ok flavor, but the chicken was overcooked. The chicken would leave my mouth dry and not wanting anymore. ---#53 with chicken (Pad Kee Mao): usually my favorite Thai dish. Again, the flavors were not terrible, but the chicken was so dry who would want anymore. I burped a terrible flavor the rest of the night. I will not attend this place again. I mean the chicken wasn't just dry from being overcooked, it was tough. My thoughts lingered on how there were few people in the restaurant for such a highly rated place on a Saturday evening. This place has some problems to work out. I can't believe it has such a high rating (almost 4.5 stars at this time) was my overall experience. It wasn't even OK.
(1)Zippy T.
Spring rolls with peanut sauce are amazing. Like a self-contained shrimp salad. Green curry was excellent, but medium-spicy was too spicy for my sensitive tongue. But the best plate was the Vietnamese Pork Combo ("V1" on the menu). I'm coming back just for that.
(5)Ken L.
Came here on a very slow night. I started with the crab Ragoons. Pretty mediocre. I've had better; even at buffets. One of them I had was still cold in the center. My dish was the green chicken curry. The Jasmine rice was average (because I like my Jasmine rice more moist) but the curry was good. Most likely will be back since its my gfs favorite place.
(4)Tina S.
I am a new Thai food foody. I love this place, the prices are fantastic. We do tend to have hit and miss service though. Sometimes there is only one server and they can get busy really quickly, but the food is always fabulous. We have, on occassion just enjoyed taking it home to eat. So, be prepared for a bit of a wait, but the food is worth it.
(4)Tony L.
This place is awesome. Great service and great Thai food in West Jordan. Not only are the dishes they serve very tasty and savory, but they give you a lot also. I haven't tried their pho (I was surprised because this was a Thai restaurant), but I'm willing to try it next time I visit. I also noticed when you walk in, there's a warmth scent of fresh bread and pastry that surrounds the air. It's from the bakery shop next door. This reminds me so much when I was younger, coming home from school and my sister would already be home baking pastries and my parents preparing for dinner. Maybe it's just me, but that really sets up the mood for some good home cooking.
(4)Robb S.
Amazing food at an amazing price! Seriously loved it (pad tai and yellow curry). The service was also very very good.
(5)SunShyn and Cha Cha B.
We ordered the Beef Pho, Pork and Egg roll Vermicelli noodle bowl and a Thai iced tea. The soup base for the Pho was bright, tangy and flavorful! The beef was thickly sliced and too tough to eat. My boyfriend thought the Vermicelli bowl was ok and would have preferred the typical fish sauce served on the side instead of premixed. The Thai iced tea was pretty terrible. There was waaaaaaay too much milk and barely any Thai tea flavor. One star for the friendly service and the other star for the flavorful pho broth.

I have been eating at New Thai Cafe since it first opened and I have to say that although things have changed a little, one thing is always consistent - the food is always delicious. I always find myself comparing the portion sizes from other Thai restaurants to New Thai. Two or three meals will feed me, my wife and three kids with a little leftover to take home. Recommendations: Massaman and Yellow curry, pineapple cashew fried rice (my kids' favorite), and of course the mango rice. I haven't had a meal that I didn't enjoy, but these are my favorites.
(5)Michelle R.
On a journey to find decent asian food in Utah after being let down a few times and I give it to Yelp to have brought me to this gem.. My boyfriend and I ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Combo Friend Rice, and one of their specials which I forgot the name of but I think it may have been Thai Basil Duck. Their Combo Fried Rice we thought was ok- the rice was a little mushier than I like it but we still finished it all. My boyfriend loves Pad Thai and he was satisfied with his order and said it was decent. The best dish we had was their special, Thai Basil Duck, which we both LOVED. It was one of the best Thai dishes I've ever tasted and I would definitely come back here just for this dish. The lady who served us is also really nice and sweet. All in all, I can't wait to be back and try more!
(4)Holly N.
This place is amazeballs. Yes, I said it - amazeballs. Super good Thai food (I've stuck to the yellow curry but friends have had other dishes and said they are really good as well). Really friendly staff as well. A friend and I went there for dinner on NYE, arriving at 7:40 - busy but still was able to get a table. We were offered a complimentary dessert - something we were told they like to do for their customers on special holidays. It was some sort of coffee flavored cake and it was delish! By the time we left (8:45), it was us and only one other couple. The staff must have known the other couple because when we walked out, they turned off the "open" sign. I was pleasantly surprised they stayed open for us and I never felt rushed to eat or pay. If you like Thai - this place is a gem!
(5)Jeannette M.
Even after reading all the rave reviews here, I was still delightfully surprised at how good the food was! This is not the most convenient location for me, but I'll be going again! Friendly wait staff and clean, pleasant cafe to boot. Highly recommended!
(5)Sandi T.
Excellent lunch deal for only $7.50. I ordered the yellow curry and my husband got a rice dish with cashews, fresh sprouts and assorted peppers. I felt his dish in particular was very healthy. I always go for the yellow curry. It was tasty but I felt the sauce could have been slightly thicker and much more spicy. Came with a wonton soup which contained sprouts and the much hated cilantro. I think you either like it or hate it. Also comes with an appetizer of cream cheese ran goons which were crisp and yummy. Great portion sizes. Good lunch crowd with many businessmen enjoying the lunch specials. Service was fast and friendly. I will for sure go back and try some other items. Good food at a great price.
(4)RD P.
Don't blink or you'll miss this place, but it is priced well, authentic, and tasty! I had lunch here and had the massaman curry and crab rangoon and both were delicious. The servings are big. Definitely will be back!
(4)C R.
First time. The Yellow curry was okay. I think Red Basil Thai Bestro in West Jordan is the best!!
(3)Matthew L.
Yes - this place really does have good food. The soups in particular are amazing. The curry's are good but more like 3 star. There are much better in the area. But overall the food is generally very good. Soups are out of this world. Service is done well. Prices are fair.
(4)Joshua S.
The Waterfall Beef Salad was pretty good. Vibrant flavors and plenty of red onion and cilantro. Although it was pretty good, I would probably opt with curry next time.
(3)Rachel T.
great spot for yummy pad thai and pad sew on sunday when every place else is close. will come back. friendly customer service
(5)Jeffrey Z.
Compared to other small Thai Food restaurants this one was sub par. The noodle dishes were pretty good, but the fried rice needed some work. My experience with authentic Thai restuarants is that the server always asks you what level of hot you want your food to be. I was not asked this and when I asked for my food to be extra spicy, it was brought out to me at a below mild level. The curries were pretty good they are just missing something compared others I have tried.
(3)G. S.
Something about this place is different than other thai places I've been. It's a cute, out of the way, wouldn't-normally-look-twice type of place but the food is stellar. The green curry is my moms favorite, with mine being any of their noodle dishes. I've gotten the pad see ew several times and it's always great; I really love how the dish is amazingly non greasy for fried noodles. The pho here is for you if you prefer clearer broths, although it wasn't my favorite because it lacked that aromatic quality I love about pho broth. Seriously though, try this place if you're down for some great thai food and some quick service.
(5)Jean W.
It would be nothing short of redundant to say that this little place serves delicious food. Praises for New Thai have been sung by better singers. So, I'll try to keep it relatively short. The fresh spring rolls are quite tasty, but their prolific use of shredded lettuce causes me a moment's reluctance as it bursts from the wrapper almost immediately. On the other hand, the insane peanut sauce is good enough to make up for it. Apology accepted. The curries are impeccable, with actual heat levels that translate beautifully on the tongue. One of the few Viet offerings, the lemongrass chicken is fantastic. We have also tried the Himmapan, and Sweet Chile stirfry. Everything has been absolutely delicious, regardless of which meat (or meatless) offering you choose. Despite my innate aversion to Pad Thai, I have an inexplicable need to try it at least once at every Thai resto to see how much I can tolerate before it becomes too cloying and dry. NT's PT, although I didn't love it (I never do), is easily some of the best I've had in the state. For die-hard PT fans, I would highly recommend it. We have experienced impeccable service at NT, as well. Everyone seems happy here. They not only promptly bring you whatever you ask for, they do it with panache. A particular male server is so full of personality, he also provides entertainment to each table he serves. He's excellent, and it's my goal to find out his name next visit. Despite another redundancy, I have no choice but to mention the Thai donuts. They're offered as a complimentary sweet conclusion to every meal. I won't ruin it by attempting some lame description which would only serve to do infinite injustice to these beauties. Plan ahead, save room, hire a satellite eater, excuse yourself to the facilities - whatever you need to do. But, do NOT miss these little angelic fresh-from-heaven baby donuts. They're like afterplay, and could actually replace cuddling in my world.
(5)Miguel K.
Best around! I ordered a huge takeout with 4 kinds of curry, noodle dishes, and Vietnamese salads. Everything was fresh, and they were great about customizing the curries (add broccoli to one of them (broccoli soaks up curry so deliciously!), make the red curry 7.5/10 spiciness, etc). Portions were generous, price reasonable, but most importantly it was so yummy. The curry us not so heavy as at other Thai places, which is a plus.
(5)Tory P.
The service was awesome. Our waiter was very funny and easy to talk to. I had their red curry duck which was amazing, the best I've ever had. My wife had the Beef Pad Thai and she loved it. The flavors in both meals were strong and delicious. At the end we had their Thai Donuts which were delicious and a must try if you visit. My only complaint was that their doors did not block the cold air from coming in so whenever someone came in there was a cold draft, but that doesn't have anything to do with their great food.
(5)Krystal-Ann L.
The prices were pretty reasonable and they had my order ready for take out order within about 15 minutes. I got the pho (beef soup) and wasn't too impressed. My boyfriend is a little addicted to their peanut curry though and has gone back for a 'fix' about three times in the past two weeks.
(3)Teresita A.
Been here 3 times I think and the food is very good the people in here are so nice and friendly, the place is super clean you can feel the cleanness of the place, the food is not delivered super fast, you need to wait a little, well I have waited the times I've been here but is totally fine, like I said place is super clean and the food is amazing.
(4)Q M.
the main waitress is nice and fun to talk to. the food is good. i go there regularly. a lot healthier than fast food. food comes out in good time. they recently got boba drinks but its too icy. i think it's the brand not sure though.
(4)Jeff R.
You won't be disappointed. I have eaten here before, but decided to take my family here and let them try Thai food. We shared Sum Tom, a noodle dish and Green Curry. The varying tastes and fresh ingredients were a hit with everyone. Service was great and we will be back again for sure. The menu has enough variety that it doesn't overwhelm you and it includes most of the staples you would expect at a Thai restaurant. Portion sizes are good and like I mentioned previously....fresh ingredients. So much better than Chinese where it seems every dish has the same base to its sauce. I highly recommend it.
(5)Shawn P.
I get the Thai yellow curry eveytime. A little bit overpriced unless you get the lunch special. Overall food is good quality and authentic, the curry could be a little less watery.
(5)Travis B.
Went here last night with my mother for some quick tasty Thai food. We started with some Satay and Gyoza which were both only ok. The chicken was a bit dry (not anywhere NEAR as dry as my mothers cooking though) but the Gyoza was tasty. We then moved onto the big boys, Beef Lard Na and Yellow Shrimp Curry. The curry was amazing and if you are smaller than this 230 lb bundle of love I will take it from you in a public setting. However you do not need to fear the hairy bald guy (I know nature is cruel) if you order the Lard Na, it was mediocre and I didn't really care for it. It may been better if they spiced it up but I was having dinner with a world class wussy (you know who you are mom) so there would be no spices even walking by this dish. Service was friendly and prompt but they close at 8:30 during the week so best if you go around 7.
(4)Olyssa K.
This is one of my favorite Thai spots. I always order the wings, yellow curry and spicy papaya salad. The owner is do nice and she makes the best Thai donuts as well. Must try!
(5)Jason M.
If your on the fence give it a try. A great little place you may overlook. Friendly staff, great food, great flavors. If your not a curry fan there are other great options.
(5)Cade L.
I love this place... My coworkers and I have been frequenting this hidden strip mall delight for years. We go for lunch at least once a week and are never disappointed. We started going there because it was adjacent to our project office. The project office is closed and we are nowhere close but the astounding food keeps on bringing us back.
(5)Xinmiao L.
We decided to tryout a new Thai restaurant in the area and Yelp recommended this place. It is a small restaurant. We really loved the Satay Chicken because the chicken meat was just big and juice. (That's what she said. Bad joke) also it comes with two different dipping sauces: peanut sauce and vinegar sauce. And we ordered two other dishes: Fried rice and pad thai. The pad thai was really decent but the fried rice was kind of fishy. Since it is a small restaurant, one person works at the counter and one server. The server was really nice and she complimented my shoes. I will love to go back there and order some more satay chicken. PS: One Free refill on Thai Ice Tea!
(4)Sarah C.
We were wandering around starving and came across this restaurant. I couldn't have been happier. Only my second five star rating ever. Just a ton of delicious food! We had four people so we ordered 4 entrees and a bowl of soup, we didn't even touch one of the dishes... Which fed three people the next day for leftovers. ( an amazing pad Thai dish)
(5)Long N.
Saturday night and we were hungry but didn't know what to get, so we found this little Thai place in a little strip mall. The place was very clean and the host was very nice. We ordered the shrimp pad Thai and chicken curry #64. holy cow the portions were huge. We couldn't finish our food and I always finish! The food was very tasty and again lots of it. they gave us a Complimentary donut desert. I am not a desert fan, but it was very good; something I would just go back for. The best was it ended up being $21.00 mostly extra because of the shrimp. Most of the items range between $8 & $10. I would come back and eat here again!
(5)Shayla B.
We love the pad Thai here! Big portions, fresh veggies, and cooked to perfection. We haven't tried many other dishes but the prices seem more reasonable than other local Thai places, especially for the portion sizes.
(4)Val F.
This Thai restaurant is our favorite! Everything is good - Curries, Noodle dishes, Salads, Pineapple fried rice everything is so yummy. I even love their Pho but I think they use MSG in it because I get migraines shortly after eating. We order takeout from New Thai Cafe on a regular! It's the best & they're super friendly which definitely makes a difference. You won't be disappointed!
(5)Christian V.
Because this wonderful little restaurant has given me so much joy, I figured it was time to give a little love back and jot down a few thoughts wrapped neatly up in 5... yes, count 'em... FIVE well-earned stars. I found this place totally on a fluke about 3 months ago. I ran a nearby search of restaurants near my house and New Thai pulled up. My first impulse was to smack my head and utter, "Great. Yet ANOTHER Thai restaurant." These things seem to be popping up like baby gerbils all over Salt Lake. Then I probed further. It had some pretty awesome reviews accompanied by some eye-catching pictures of seemingly tasty and tastefully presented food. I figured why not. Let's give it a shot. I am extremely happy I did. This gamble paid off in full. Up until now my favorite Thai restaurant was a toss up between Thai Gardens on 46th and Thai Lotus by the library. However, a new Queen of the ball has been crowned. This place is EXCELLENT. The exterior is rather drab and unassuming. However, the interior is clean and nicely decorated. It is small family-run restaurant, a "mom and pop" shop, but there is always plenty of seating available. But it is indeed the food where this place shines. The food is absolutely immaculate. Every time I have come here I have been blown away. Their green curry is so flavorful, milky, and perfectly spiced - I could literally drink it. And I boldly proclaim New Thai has some of the best pad Thai in town. A seemingly simple dish to prepare, everyone offers it, yet New Thai has absolutely perfected it. I recommend the shrimp. In addition to impeccably prepared food, the prices are quite affordable. Dinner entrees vary between eight dollars to twelve. The portions are HUGE. I ordered some green curry the other day and wound up taking the majority of it home. It fed me through THREE meals! Three drool-inducing meals for only eight dollars. And New Thai does not skimp on the rice. They also have a lunch special for 5.99 which bags you salad, soup (choice of egg drop or wonton), and an entree. A sizable amount of food although my advice is to pay the extra 3-4 bucks and get a dinner entree. The ROI (return on investment) should not be passed up. A nice touch is the complimentary desert. They will bring out a Thai scone with a dollop of whipped cream. The scone itself is piping hot and lightly glazed in a subtle syrup and it literally melts in your mouth. (Check out the several attached photos). My only quibble with this place is that they do not have a fountain machine. They will bring you a can of soda - so no refills, pace thyself. And under normal circumstances this would knock the rating down one point however due to the pure epicness of their food and service the rating holds at 5. **Update 05/14/2013: They got a soda fountain! Which makes New Thai the perfect eating experience in my mind ** Who would have thunk there'd be such amazing Thai food in West Jordan?!? I count myself lucky I live near this restaurant and I encourage anyone who lives in or near West Jordan to venture in to New Thai Cafe. You will walk away smiling.

We are a couple of foodies who LOVE trying new restaurants and have tried almost every Thai place we can find looking for our favorite. Due to its location near our apartment, we tried this place a few months ago and *LOVE* it. We've eaten here close to 15 times since and have *never* been disappointed! The owners/employees are very friendly, very helpful and the food always tastes freshly made and much better than we've had anywhere else. We've tried several of the menu items, but keep going back to our favorites because they are so good -- every curry is excellent, spring rolls ROCK, chicken satay is excellent and they have perfect peanut sauce. All the fried rices are excellent and my niece said their pad thai was the best she'd had. Additionally, the prices are VERY good.
(5)Ngan P.
I love the food at New Thai Cafe, but there's not much of a selection, however, the flavor in their foods does makes up for it. The other night I ordered the sweet and sour stir fry with tofu and I enjoyed it a lot, the dish had a really good zing and it was bursting with flavor. I called ahead and ordered to-go because it was a Saturday night, no doubt it would be busy. When I came in I waited another 10-15 minutes, but I didn't mind because they were still attentive to me. I'm really never disappointed with New Thai, but sometimes it will range from 4-5 stars, like the pad thai, sometimes I get it and it has WAY TOO MUCH paprika, and other times I order and it's perfect. But maybe every restaurant has days like that. I would highly recommend this place for you to try!

This place is so great. The food and service are always top notch. I especially love their pho and meatballs.

Reasonably priced with large portions. BUT their pad thai was on the dry side and that was quite the turnoff for me. The panang curry was spicy... a good spicy. I'd come back because it's convenient but definitely not on my faves list.

In my opinion, the best Thai in the Valley! The Green Curry is the best I've had, and the Thai Coconut Soup (I ask for mine with a medium spice) is so yummy! 75% of the time I order take out, but of the times I've actually stayed to dine, I've never been disappointed. Service is prompt and friendly. This is a great restaurant!

Amazing Thai Food! So happy to have found great Thai food this close to home. So far have tried their green curry, yellow curry and the chicken satay. So good. Service was also excellent. Fast on food, always offering a refill and very pleasant. I will be back soon to try more...

Great food and very customer-focused. The owner brought us a sample of the pumpkin curry he made (awesome) just for us to try! I had Pho (my first order of it). Very good. I'll be back before I leae Salt Lake City after Christmas.

Seriously delicious. This unassuming Thai place in a strip mall setting delivered some seriously tasty grub. I ordered their peanut curry with tofu. Jae had a pineapple curry with tofu. As an appetizer we shared some shrimp balls. All of which came equipped with serious flavor and reasonable heat. Added perk, dinners were $8.95 each before tax. Our meal included friendly and efficient service, perfectly cooked rice, yummy Thai iced teas and food babies upon exiting. My only complaint (and explanation of 4 stars instead of 5) was the use of canned pineapple in the pineapple curry. We would have happily shared the burden of fresh fruit and paid more. Otherwise, this place was excellent and most worthy of any Thai food aficionado.

I visit New Thai Cafe 2 - 3 times a month for lunch. The food is always fresh, and the service is fast and reliable. The lunch menu while not offering a ton of variety offers a great value for the price. The lunch specials all come with a soup and a small appetizer which really adds to the value and makes me feel like I am getting a full meal. Having tried everything on the Lunch Menu I can confidently say you can't go wrong with any of those items.

Really great food. Large portions and very reasonable prices. My new favorite Thai place. I've probably been 5 or 6 times in the past three weeks. I've tried something different each time and haven't been disappointed with anything I've had.

My wife and I are Thai food lovers. We love to track down new places until we found this one. Great food and service! Blazing fast lunch menu. The inside of restaurant itself is more on the 2 star level but the food is killer!

Great food at a great price in a great little corner restaurant. This could be enough but the service was also prompt, attentive, and very pleasant. Try the Pho Bo and spring rolls.

I hated Thai when I lived in Chicago and now I am a fan. Loved the curry and the pad thai noodles with either chicken or shrimp. The crab rangoons are very delicious and the donuts at the end took the cake. The gentlemen that works here is overly friendly and makes us laugh every time. Everything here is home made and he told us the women in the back prep for hours. This should be a great indication of a place that cares about their food and the quality that comes out.

Nice little Thai place. Very friendly and responsive service. Food was good but not off the charts. Recommended!

Love the people, food, service... Everything is very good noodle dishes, stir fry, fried rice, Vietnamese dishes. I like the curries but have to be honest that my favorite curry is at the Thai Delight. The people at the New Thai make this the best restaurant in West Jordan and perhaps on the west side of town. Go around thanksgiving for Turkey curry, better than any curries on the menu. Wish it was served year round.

I love this place. The Pho is fantastic! Try their New Thai fried rice......

Did lunch here today for the first time, and it was terrific. I'm also a fan of Red Basil Thai on 90th south, but I think I like New Thai even more. Terrific lunch special, the pad gra prow was excellent. I look forward to trying their curries and pho. Service was friendly.

This is our new favorite Thai Restaurant! We've had a few different curries, the pa Thai, and the crab rangoons and it has all been amazing! They have takeout but if you dine in they bring out delicious sticky donuts to end your meal. Can not recommend this place enough! What are you waiting for? Go there now!

Every time I have been here I have ordered Green Curry and have thoroughly loved it. The little extras are a nice touch. Good prompt service with a smile. Check them out!

Far and away the best Thai in town. The dishes are fresh and full of flavor. There is not one entrée we have tried that we haven't thoroughly enjoyed. The rice desserts are amazing! The servings are ample and the prices are more than reasonable. You can't miss with the fresh spring rolls for an appetizer and are almost a meal unto themselves. The V1 salad is terrific. The curry's are terrific and the Pad Gra Pow and cashew chicken is delightful. This is a hidden gem that many people need to discover. You will be adding it to your list of favorite eating spots.

We LOVE the New Thai Cafe! We have tried many Thai restaurants and are quite the critics when it comes to Thai. This mom and pop restaurant is by far our very favorite in Utah. It is very quaint, they know us when we come in and always do something a little extra. The food is fabulous! The best curry around. The yellow curry has all the veggie's we love. Potatoes, tomatoes, onions and more. Perfect mildly spicy flavor. Our small kids love it too, their favorite is the cashew, pineapple fried rice. My in-laws don't love Thai, but tried our New Thai dinner and loved it!

Excellent excellent thai food at an extremely reasonable price. We ordered 3 main dishes and the final bill came out to under $ 30 including drinks. Service is quick yet courteous and our water was never less than half full. Bathrooms are large and clean and handicap accessible. If you come here you need to get the yummy donuts. Yes that is what they are called and trust me they are delicious. I'm still craving it...

Really excellent place for a great meal! The owner and the other people who work there give really great service with the personal touch. The curries are scrumptious and my husband really likes the Pad Thai. The spring rolls are my favorite and I could eat the peanut sauce as a dessert! They have a dessert that is out of this world with purple rice and sweet milk over it, don't miss this. We love and go there often!!!

Yum! Delicious, authentic Thai. Great service, huge portions, HOT food, and very reasonably priced. Plus, a couple of little Thai donuts for dessert. It is small, but worth the trip!
